Community Guidelines

As a global platform for creativity and self-expression, gemsouls is deeply committed to supporting and protecting free speech. At the same time, we are firmly opposed to content and behavior that endanger our users, threaten our infrastructure, and cause harm to our communities.


GEMSOULS IS AGAINST
1.1 Sexual Content


Pornographic Content. gemsouls considers content to be pornographic when it exists solely for the purpose of sexual stimulation.


Age of Consent. The age of consent is 13+ on gemsouls. Any sexual content between characters and users must abide by this age of consent and not be in violation of Law of the United States.

 

Glorification of Sexual Violence. gemsouls classifies non-consensual sexual acts to include rape, sexual assault, kidnapping for sexual purposes, or sexual slavery. The content cannot be encouraging or promoting non-consensual sex acts.

 

Sexual Roleplay or Messaging. gemsouls does not permit sexual messages or solicitation. This includes posting content that encourages sexual private messages, on or off gemsouls, or posting rules for public or private roleplay that are intended for sexual purposes.

 

Illegal Sex Acts. gemsouls explicitly prohibits any content which describes illegal sex acts including, but not limited to, bestiality, necrophilia, incest or child sexual exploitation and abuse material. Such content will be removed.

 

1.2 Violent or dangerous content 

Dangerous or threatening pranks: Pranks that lead victims to fear imminent serious physical danger, or that create serious emotional distress in minors.

 

Instructions to kill or harm: Instructions on how to perform activities meant to kill or maim others. For example, giving instructions to build a bomb meant to injure or kill others.

 

Hard drug use or creation: Content that depicts abuse of or giving instructions on how to create hard drugs such as cocaine or opioids. Hard drugs are defined as drugs that can (mostly) lead to physical addiction.

 

Eating Disorders: Content that praises, glorifies, or encourages imitation of anorexia or other eating disorders. Eating disorders are characterized by abnormal or disturbed eating habits which negatively affect a person's health (including eating non-food items).

 

Violent Events: Promoting or glorifying violent tragedies, such as school shootings.

 

Instructional theft or cheating: Content that contains instructions on how to steal tangible goods or promotes dishonest behavior.

 

Describing the dismemberment or torture (including bestiality) of humans, animals, or their remains.

1.3 Suicide & Self-Harm 

Content promoting or glorifying suicide or self-harm.

 

Instructions on how to die by suicide or engage in self-harm.

 

Content related to suicide or self-harm that is targeted at minors.

 

Content that embraces anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorders.

 

Content that engages in suicidal behavior instead of seeking counseling or treatment.   

 
1.4 Hate speech

 

Do not encourage violence or hatred. Don't post content that promotes or incites hatred or dehumanization of an individual or group of people based on race, ethnicity or national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, disability or illness.

1.5 Terrorism 

We have no tolerance for content that promotes, encourages or incites terrorist acts. This includes content that supports or celebrates terrorist groups, their leaders, or related violence.

1.6 Harm to minors 

 

Sexualization of minors: Sexually explicit content featuring minors and content that sexually exploits minors. We report content containing child sexual abuse to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who work with global law enforcement agencies.

 

Harmful or dangerous acts involving minors: Content showing a minor participating in dangerous activities or encouraging minors to do dangerous activities. Never put minors in harmful situations that may lead to injury, including dangerous stunts, dares, or pranks.

 

Infliction of emotional distress on minors: Content that could cause minor participants or viewers emotional distress, including:

  • Exposing minors to mature themes

  • Simulating parental abuse

  • Coercing minors

  • Violence

  • Sexual themes

  • Obscenity or other mature themes not suitable for young audiences

 

Cyberbullying and harassment involving minors:

  • Targets individuals for abuse or humiliation

  • Sexually harasses

  • Encourages others to bully or harass
